NDAT provides following actions related to device placement planning:

  • Rack context menu -> Show rack summary – shows racks text description;

  • Rack context menu -> Refresh mounted devices placements (incl. L2) – updates mounted L1 (device) shapes local placement fields (Rack ID, Units), and updates corresponding L2 node shapes (NDAT links device shapes to L2 node shapes via Hostname and Cluster ID + In-cluster ID fields);

  • HMLPI implementation statuses – all management via L1 (device) shape context menu.

  • L1 (device) shape context menu -> Generate L2 / Refresh -> Generate L2 * node – Generates L2 corresponding L2 node – works for single physical device shapes, VMs/Contexts, selections.

  • L1 (device) shape context menu -> Generate L2 / Refresh -> Refresh from template – Refresh L1 shape Shape Data from corresponding template.

  • NDAT -> L1 -> Other -> Sync data from devices to L2 nodes – refresh placement of all the L1 nodes (devices), and corresponding L2 nodes (in L2 nodes fileds Model, Description, Info x, Port Side are also optionally refreshed according to their L1 node values).

  • NDAT -> L1 -> Other -> Refresh all devices mgmt IPs – update mgmt IPs in L1 shapes, according L3* pages.

  • NDAT -> L1 -> Other -> Export rack matrix – forms rack distances matrix template where rack-to-rack distances can be set (used to estimate patch-cord lengths).

  • NDAT -> L1 -> Other -> Import rack matrix – import filled rack distances matrix.

  • NDAT -> L1 -> Reports -> Devices reports – form simple or profiled devices reports for all document or active selection.
